17 years have passed since the Nissan Frontier was given a true update. Last year, the pandemic stopped

from updating the fossil of a pickup truck
. But it seems like 2022 will finally be the year for a brand new, redesigned Nissan Frontier! Will this be an "Innovation that Excites!", which is Nissan’s brand promise?
History of the Nissan Frontier
The Nissan Frontier is nearing living legend level among trucks. It’s old, it’s been around for so long, but it continues to be popular and practical.
The Frontier has basically been unchanged since its debut in 2004.

New design of the 2022 Nissan Frontier

, the newest 2022 Frontier have just started rolling out of the factory two weeks ago. They look _good _with their bold and chiseled features!The redesigned Frontier has a standard 3.8-liter V6 engine, which is reliable and relatively quiet. It boasts a best-in-class 310 horsepower and 281 lb-ft of torque.
The engine is mated to a 9-speed automatic transmission. Rear- and 4-wheel drive configurations are available.
The new model of this pickup truck will finally have more contemporary technology than its predecessors. It has a 7-inch driver-assist display in the instrument cluster and a collision-avoidance system. It also comes with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
The 2022 Frontier is about five inches longer than the older model. It’s still one of the smaller midsize trucks out there, but there may be benefits to
avoiding larger trucks
. Trims and other optional upgrades
The 2022 Frontier comes in three trims: SV ($27,670), S ($27,900), and PRO-4X ($37,490). The PRO-4X comes with 4WD.
There are also plenty of new accessory options, such as body accents, a hood graphic, off-road step rails, tailgate audio by KICKER, and a sport bar.

Is the 2022 Nissan Frontier worth it?
The starting price of the 2022 Nissan Frontier is a little more expensive than the best-selling
Toyota Tacoma
($26,400). This puts it at an immediate disadvantage.As a midsize pickup truck, Frontier is highly capable and reliable. It does what it sets out to do. You can take a weekend adventure drive with it and it will carry all the gear you need.
It’s safe and when it comes to sound, it’s got improved quietness so you won’t be as bothered by engine, road, or wind noise. If a new pickup truck is in your future, checking out the new Frontier for yourself is probably worth your time.
