Understanding your car’s bolt pattern (also called a lug pattern) can be confusing if you’re not already familiar with how to do it. Basically, every bolt pattern, regardless of the vehicle you own, is expressed in the following way:
# of bolts x diameter of the circle they form
The 2012 Ford Fusion has a bolt pattern of 5x4.5, which means each wheel has five bolts spaced apart in a circle that’s 4.5 inches in diameter.
