Kia was founded in 1944 as a manufacturer of steeltubing and bicycle parts. The company began producing motorcycles in 1957, trucks in 1962, and cars in 1974. However, one thing Kia has never produced is a station wagon (though the company has produced numerous hatchbacks over the years).
