background
Aston Martin
has never had a hypercar before, but it’s finally joining in the race to build some of the fastest vehicles around. To create the car, a collaboration occurred between Aston Martin and Red Bull Racing.
With the name deriving from Norse mythology, the 2022 Aston Martin Valkyrie is not playing around. Despite the car’s $3 million price tag and limited production of 150 models for the standard and 25 for the AMR Pro trim, it's already sold out.
Here’s what you should know about this absolutely stunning
hypercar
beast.

Specs on the Aston Martin Valkyrie

The 2022 Aston Martin Valkyrie comes in two trims: one for the track, the AMR Pro, and the standard Valkyrie, which is street legal, according to
Car and Driver
. The Valkyrie comes with a hybrid powertrain, a 6.5-liter V12 engine, and an electric motor.
The vehicle has rear-wheel drive and a seven-speed automatic transmission. The V12 engine and the electric motor lead to a total horsepower of 1160 and 663 lb-ft of torque.

Interior and exterior design of the 2022 Aston Martin Valkyrie

Aston Martin vehicles are typically known for their simplistic, yet luxurious design, which makes the Valkyrie in particular stand out.
Aston Martin’s first priorities with this car were to keep it lightweight and aerodynamic, especially with the track-only version. The car is entirely made of carbon fiber to help reduce weight.
The car has no mirrors to help reduce drag and instead has rear-facing cameras to help drivers see their blind-spots. The Valkyrie also doesn’t have a rear window or a rear mirror and has a detachable steering wheel for a more fluid entry and exit of the vehicle.
The 2022 Aston Martin Valkyrie can only seat two people, but that’s to be expected with a hypercar. To ensure safety, a four-point harness comes standard with the Valkyrie, but there is a six-point harness available if you want to take the car on the track.
The switchgear comes in anodized silver, red, or black and is on the steering wheel with any significant information shown on an OLED screen.
The Aston Martin Valkyrie has many options for the vehicle’s upholstery and harnesses, which come in many different finishes, patterns, and colors. This is definitely not your ordinary Aston Martin, if you didn’t pick up on that yet.
Infotainment wise, it has a central screen that is ditched on the AMR Pro trim to make the vehicle even lighter. In fact, many of the unnecessary features are completely withdrawn for the track-only version of the car to reduce curb weight.
