The Aston Martin V12 Speedster’s design
According to Motor Trend
the V12 Speedster doesn’t have the future inspire designs of the Vantage and D11, it instead goes back into history finding inspiration in the design of their former race cars like the 1953 DB3S. It also is clearly influenced by the DBR1 which was driven by the famous Caroll Shelby and Roy Salvadori which stole the win at the 1959 24 Hours Le Mans race. This is evident when looking at the vehicle’s “low-slung grille and the streamlined humps behind the seats”.
Though the Aston Martin V12 Speedster takes some attributes from the past, it still has its own distinct styling.
Despite the car’s green paint and white roundels, brown leather straps along the center console and doors, which help give it that classic vibe, it still is made of carbon fiber, plastic and has an infotainment screen.
Surprisingly enough the vehicle’s most identifying factor is its lack of a windshield, making it wholly unique in its own right from any convertible or most other vehicles on the road.
Although the car is street legal and does have airbags, due to the fact that the car has no windshield it is legal in most countries besides the U.S.
