Will thermal adhesives reduce contact resistance?

I updated my car’s speaker system and added lights that sync with the music. Unfortunately, there wasn’t much room to work with regarding attaching some of the lighting components, but the thermal adhesive I used seems to work pretty well. However, will thermal adhesives reduce contact resistance?
