Will State Farm drop me?
I just bought car insurance for the first time and I’m really paranoid that my coverage could get canceled at any moment. I’m pretty sure that’s not how it works, but it’s still a huge concern of mine. Will State Farm drop me?

company will ever drop you without reason or without warning—State Farm
included. That said, there are a handful of serious circumstances that may cause State Farm to either cancel or not renew your policy. Such as:
- Failing to pay your premium
- Earning multiple tickets or getting into multiple accidents within a short period of time—this would label you as ahigh-risk driver, which increases your premiums and limits your coverage options across the board
Though the idea of State Farm dropping your coverage can seem scary, know that it is highly unlikely that they will unless your driving behavior provokes them to. Once an insurer finds that you cost them too much money, you may need to secure
high-risk car insurance
through a non-standard insurer like The General
or Dairyland
. In the rare event that State Farm does drop you, though, make sure you line up a new insurance policy ASAP to prevent having a
lapse in your insurance coverage
