Will having to get an SR-22 raise my car insurance rates?
Will getting an SR-22 affect my car insurance rates? I was caught driving without insurance and caused a serious accident. The state revoked my license for a year. Now that the year is up I want to drive again but I've been told I need an SR-22 to get car insurance.

SR-22
is simply an endorsement or a certificate of financial responsibility that says you have the minimum required liability insurance
for your state. This form is required by most states after you have a DUI or get into a serious accident.
The SR-22 doesn’t raise your rate itself, but it does categorize you as a high-risk driver.
As a result, you’ll almost certainly have higher rates for
car insurance
