No, GEICO won’t drop you for becoming an Uber driver, but you do have to let them know your plans and update your
CAR insurance
policy with the relevant coverage. Your personal policy won’t protect you if you get into an accident with an Uber passenger in your vehicle, so you’ll have to add GEICO’s hybrid rideshare coverage to your plan.
This optional insurance provides
liability coverage
