"Will being one day late on my car loan payment ruin my credit? "

"I usually make my car loan payments to my bank in person. I have been on time every month for the past two years.

This month, I didn’t have time to get to the bank on Saturday and the due date is on Sunday. What can I do to reduce the damage caused by this late payment?

“If you go to make the payment at 9 a.m. on Monday, the only damage caused by this will probably be a late fee at most. The bank may even waive that fee if you ask.
If you want to avoid a repeat of this situation altogether, though, you might want to consider making payments online. Most banks offer digital payment options that can save you time and effort.
