“When you move to Texas, the Department of Public Safety requires you to get a new driver’s license within 30 days and register your car in Texas within the same time frame. Therefore, you should move on this as quickly as possible.
You can go to the Texas Department of Public Safety website to see what documentation you need to get a driver’s license.
companies also require you to update your insurance policy to the correct state when you move. This is due to a variety of factors, including increased risk in one state versus another. So you should start shopping around for quotes with providers who operate in Texas.”
