Unfortunately, I have a DUI conviction on my driving record. That said, my driver’s license has been reinstated, so I’m ready for the next chapter of my life. I’m looking for insurance, but I need my provider to file an SR-22 form for me. Will American Family file an SR-22 form on my behalf?

high-risk drivers
. While this will vary by state, convictions for the following driving infractions will likely necessitate you getting an SR-22 form filed for you by your insurer:An SR-22 isn’t a type of insurance—rather it’s a form filed by your insurer on your behalf. When filing an SR-22, your insurer is essentially guaranteeing that a driver is carrying at least the minimum amount of liability coverage as required by the state.
If you do have an SR-22 filed for you, be prepared to pay a significantly higher premium than you would if you had a clean driving record.
