Will a lift kit void my RAM warranty?

I want to add a lift kit to my new RAM to make it more off-road capable and add a more aggressive look. However, I’m a bit worried that doing so may void my warranty. Will installing a lift kit actually void it?

Modding your RAM can be a fun project, but it’s good to check on your warranty before you get to work. Due to the Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act of 1975, adding a lift kit to your truck won’t necessarily void your
RAM
warranty. This act protects consumers from unlawful cancellation of warranties by the manufacturer, so it may protect you.
However, improper installation that damages other components of the truck may cause RAM to deny warranty claims or void the warranty altogether. Moreover, the aftermarket parts you use for the lift kit are no longer covered under the RAM warranty. If you’re worried about voiding your warranty, you may want to contact your RAM dealership to learn more.
