Why won’t my Nissan Xterra start in cold weather?

drains faster in cold weather, so it’s possible that your car battery is losing power in colder weather and is unable to start your car in the morning as a result. This is even more likely if your car battery is old or exceptionally corroded. In these cases, replacing your battery is your best course of action.If the problem isn’t your battery, though, it might be your engine oil. Certain vehicles have certain recommended engine oils to ensure that they will start in most temperatures. If your Xterra has the wrong engine oil in the reservoir, it might not be able to handle the cold.
Regardless, it’s a good idea to
take your car to a mechanic
