Why was my car insurance payment marked paid when the payment was never taken?

My insurance policy is on autopay and I forgot to transfer money to my bank account. My policy's account says that my payment was received. I know the payment didn't go through and I've deposited the money, but do I need to call? Where did this payment come from?

“When your
car insurance
payment method is a bank account or EFT, it takes a while for payments to be processed, unlike using a credit or debit card. The notification that you see on your account is indicating the carrier has charged your bank account for your payment.
Since it can take up to 10 days for a payment to clear, your carrier may not be aware that your payment was declined.
If you’ve deposited the funds to your account, you should reach out to your insurance carrier to let them know. Waiting any longer can risk your policy being canceled for non-payment. “
