While it may seem counterintuitive, electric cars do require less maintenance than their gas-powered counterparts.
First of all, electric vehicles (EVs) do not have the same internal combustion engine, and therefore they don’t require all the maintenance that goes along with them. Furthermore, the parts that do keep an EV running generally require little to no repairs. Most manufacturers put the vehicle’s battery under an 8-year or 100,000-mile warranty.
Brake wear is also reduced significantly due to regenerative braking, and fewer fluids are required to keep even the most affordable electric vehicles in tip-top condition.
