Why did Progressive increase my rate by $10?

There have been no changes to my driving record, location, or vehicle. I've been with the company for a while, so why did Progressive increase my rate from $90 to $100 last renewal?

It can be shocking when your
car insurance
rates go up, especially when you haven’t gotten into an accident. However, rate changes are very common.
Sometimes, an increase may be directly related to your driving, but in this case, it sounds like the rate change may be due to other external factors.
For example, if the number of claims filed in your area increased, Progressive will have to pay out more money. Your
Progressive car insurance
rate might increase so the company can recoup its losses.
Your state insurance regulators could also have mandated an increase. In this case, your insurance company would have to increase rates for every policyholder.
