Why are my insurance rates so high when I have a perfect driving record?

"Why would I have high rates with such a good driving record? My driving record is spotless! I am 27 years old and have had my license for 9 years now. I live and work in Pennsylvania and I am tired of paying so much for my insurance."

“Driving record is one of the most substantial rating factors insurance companies use when pricing your policy, but it isn’t the only factor. Other things are taken into consideration, such as:
  • Credit
  • Annual mileage
  • Zipcode
Take a look at your current policy and make sure the coverage is where you need it. If you have a low [collision coverage] deductible, that can make your rate on the higher end. If possible, opt for a deductible of $500 or $1000 to bring the premium down.
If you have a good credit score, low annual mileage, and your policy limits are accurate, it may be time to shop for a cheaper insurance policy. Downloading the free insurance comparison app
