The Texas DOT’s Toll Operations Division (TOD) develops, operates, and maintains the over 250 miles of toll roads located in the state’s major metropolitan areas. But as of 2003, many of Texas’s 25 toll roads are owned by public-private partnerships.
Paying Texas’s tolls can be a hassle, but the state offers a TxTag transponder that allows you to save time and money on toll payments. If you haven’t yet, head over to txtag.org to get yourself a transponder.
