Who owns Rivian?
I’m super intrigued by Rivian, especially after its stock IPO made it a darling to investors. However, I’m not sure how it’s going to sustain itself in the long run without a major cash infusion. Does any other company own Rivian?

Rivian is a publicly traded company that’s primarily self-owned. However, several major companies have huge stakes in the Irvine, California-based company. As of August 2022, Amazon owns 17.7% of Rivian and Ford owns 11.4%.
Both of these companies have their own ideas behind such an investment. Allegedly, Amazon wants to switch to electric delivery vehicles at some point and Rivian is the company they want to use. On the other hand, Ford may want to enter into a partnership with Rivian to share resources.
