Who is responsible for your deductible in an accident if you aren't at fault?

I was not at fault in an accident. I have to get my car repaired. Will the other driver pay my collision deductible or am I still responsible for it?

“If you were not at fault in the accident, you are not responsible for paying your
collision insurance
.
The only time you are required to pay your collision
deductible
is if you are submitting a claim to your insurance for damage that you caused on your own.
Since the other party is liable, their
property damage liability insurance
will pay for your damage up to their policy limit. As your deductible only applies when you submit claims, they wouldn’t need to pay the deductible either.
However, if you have to file a claim, your insurance rates might go up. In this case, you should use the
Jerry
app to compare rates from top insurers and get the best value possible.”
