Which offers better performance, European or Japanese cars?

While Japanese cars are usually more reliable, in some situations American cars are the better bet.

Though the U.S. and Europe are often debated for their car production, Japan has created some of the most innovative cars in automotive history. Sadly, many of those cars weren’t offered in America, but we’ve been able to admire them from afar—or finally drag them to the states.

We all have our preferences for car brands, but is there any major difference between American and Japanese automakers anymore?
