Which is better: a Ford or Chevy SUV?
We need a new SUV and plan to shop for 2023 models, but my husband and I are having a debate about whether we should get a Ford or a Chevrolet. Which are better—Ford or Chevy SUVs?

Shopping for a new SUV can be lots of fun, but if there’s a disagreement on which one to buy, it can quickly turn into a disappointing compromise. But, that’s why we’re here to help!
It’s difficult to say which is better between a Ford or Chevy SUV because it depends on what you’re looking for. The decision should start with you identifying what, exactly, you need.
A few things to consider include:
- Passenger seating needs: Most SUVs offer seating for five or seven.
- Cargo space needs: How much space do you need for luggage, groceries, or equipment?
- Off-road capability and winter weather: Do you plan to go off road or drive in the snow? You might want AWD or 4WD, which doesn’t come on every SUV.
- Efficiency: Some SUVs are all-electric or hybrids.
- Style and comfort: Not everything is a practical matter. You also need to pick an SUV with a look and feel that you like!
Your best bet to make the right decision is to figure out what you want out of your SUV, and then start looking at the specifications for the 2023 Ford and Chevrolet SUV lineups.
