Where's the ‘86 Ford Ranger fuel pump relay location?
I need to do some work on my ‘86 Ford Ranger. My mechanic friend says the source of my issue is the fuel pump relay, but I’m not sure where that is. Could you tell me where to locate the fuel pump relay on my 1986 Ford Ranger?

- First, follow the fuel fill hose from the gas cap down.
- Look for two straps holding in the tank.
- Then, remove the tank and you’ll find the pump on top.
Your owner’s manual should help you locate its exact location and whether it’s serviceable. If you’re having trouble, you may want to take the vehicle to your mechanic friend or another shop for repairs.
