The first Ferrari rolled off the assembly line in 1947 in the town of Maranello, Italy. This town of about 17,000 people is in the province of Modena, located about 25 miles west of Bologna. If you want to get to the factory or the museum at some point in your life, flying to Bologna and then either renting a car or taking a bus is the fastest way.
But back to the first Ferrari. In 1947, the Ferrari 125 S became the first official car with the Ferrari badge, solidifying its status as the most expensive and coveted Ferrari of all time. Today, the Ferrari 125 S is a collector’s car that hasn’t been on the auction block for decades. However, automotive experts ballpark its price at $5 million.
