You’re correct! The Toyota 86 was made in Ota-city, Japan, but the sports car was discontinued in 2020. Here’s more on that:

The Toyota 86 is a four-seat, rear-wheel-drive sports coupe.

It was previously known as the Scion FR-S before Toyota discontinued the Scion brand.

It was produced from 2012 to 2020 at the Gunma Plant in Japan.

Its successor, the Toyota GR86, is currently produced at the Gunma Plant.
