I recently purchased a Nissan Sentra, but I have an embarrassing situation. I can’t figure out for the life of me how to open the gas tank! Where can I find the gas tank release on a Nissan Sentra?

Don’t feel embarrassed—plenty of people have trouble finding the release on this particular model! The gas tank release on a Nissan Sentra is located beneath the dashboard on the driver’s side of the vehicle.
If you look or feel down near your left knee, you will find two levers: the gas tank release and the hood release. The gas tank release is on the left side; just pull up on the lever and the tank should unlock.
