Where is the Chrysler 300 OBD port location?
My check engine light just came on in my Chrysler 300, but my mechanic wants to charge me $100 to diagnose the problem. I’m planning to get an OBD scanner and check it out myself, but where is the OBD port in my Chrysler 300?

If you can find an OBD scanner, scanning for codes is a cheap and easy process. While the Chrysler 300 OBD port location depends on the model type, the OBD port is located below the steering wheel above the foot pedals in most cases.
It’s not the easiest part to find, but if you wedge yourself in the driver’s footwell and look for the bottom of your brake pedal, the OBD port should be easy to locate. Whether you’re using your OBD-II scanner or borrowing one from your local auto parts store, here’s how to scan for
error codes
on your Chrysler:- Turn your car off and remove the cover to your OBD port
- Connect the scanner, then turn your 300 on
- Plug in your VIN or any other necessary info, then push “Scan” or “Start”
- Follow any instructions on the scanner’s screen, then look for error codes
