Where is the battery in an Alfa Romeo Giulia?
The battery on my Alfa Romeo Giulia seems like it’s about ready to die. It takes a while for the car to turn over, and the headlights are dimmer every time I drive. But when I pop the hood, I can’t find the battery—where is the Alfa Romeo Giulia battery?

Call it Italian engineering and design or whatever you will, but you won’t find the battery under the hood. The battery in an Alfa Romeo Giulia is actually located on the right-hand side of the trunk. It’s one of the only models with the battery in the trunk, but it’s surprisingly easy to access.
To take the battery out, follow these instructions:
- Loosen the fasteners on the negative battery terminal with a 10mm wrench and remove.
- Remove the plastic cover from the positive battery terminal. It should just pop out with a bit of force.
- Release the clamp for the positive battery terminal connector.
- Remove the screws from the red clips.
- Remove the distribution plate from the positive battery terminal.
- Undo the hold-down strap.
- Remove the vent tube from the side of the battery.
- Unscrew the hold-down clamps with a wrench.
- Lift the battery out.
