Great question! Although Audi may be German engineered, most of their vehicles are built elsewhere. The Audi Q5 is built in San José Chiapa, Mexico. The 460-hectare plant opened in 2016 and is located about 60 kilometers from the capital of Puebla. It’s the most modern automotive plant in the Audi world, producing roughly 150,000 Audi Q5s annually.
The San José Chiapa plant is responsible for producing:
