Where is the 2019 Nissan Altima’s OBD port location?
I just bought a used 2019 Nissan Altima, and I’m already having some problems with it. I’d like to run a diagnostic test to see what the issue is, but I don’t know where the OBD port is. Where can I find it in the 2019 Altima?

Nissan Altima
is below the dashboard, to the left of the steering column.The Onboard Diagnostics II (OBD-II) port monitors your Altima’s emissions, engine, and transmission performance. It will allow you to access your Altima’s internal computer and run tests and diagnostics.
You’ll need an OBD-II scan tool to run a diagnostic test. Simply follow these three steps to
read trouble codes
: - Plug the scan tool into your OBD port
- Power on the scan tool and crank your Altima’s ignition
- Press “Scan” on the scan tool and follow the directions on the screen
Within seconds, the scanner should provide you with a Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) to help you get to the root of your car trouble. Here are five common codes to look out for:
- P0420: catalytic converter isn’t functioning properly
- P0101: mass air flow sensor isn’t working properly
- P0300: two or more cylinders are misfiring
- P0303: cylinder number three is misfiring
- P0128: coolant temperature is lower than it should be
