The 2016 Malibu battery location is under the hood, near the coolant surge tank.
Pop the hood to access the engine compartment. Now, look for the fuse box. The battery is just behind the fuse box.
However, you don’t need to access the full battery compartment to jumpstart this car. Look for the positive jump point, which should be beneath a red cover. Use the stud under the hood to ground the negative cable.
