The 2016 GMC Terrain battery location is under the hood, but it might be easy to miss because it’s found underneath the engine control module (ECM).
To access the 2016 GMC Terrain battery location, you’ll need to remove the bolts holding the ECM in place. To remove the ECM, you’ll need to carefully slide it to the right before lifting it.
To remove or replace your battery, you’ll need to additionally remove the clips on the plastic panel cover on the front right side of your hood’s border, then fold that portion of the panel out of the way. That will allow you to unscrew one of the bolts of the bracket that holds the battery in place underneath the ECM.
