Great question! You certainly aren’t the first to have trouble finding the battery in a Charger, and for good reason—rather than being placed under the hood, the 2012 Dodge Charger’s battery location is actually in the trunk, underneath the floor liner.

To access the battery, you will need to lift the carpet piece up and out of the trunk, at which point you should see the spare tire—your battery will be to its right.
