Where is the 2010 Ford F-150 fuel pump relay location?
I suspect that my pickup is experiencing a broken fuel pump relay and I’d like to replace it, but I can’t find it. Where is the fuel pump relay location on a 2010 Ford F-150?

Sorry to hear that your fuel pump relay may be giving you issues! The fuel pump relay location on a 2010 Ford F-150 is in the power distribution box in the engine compartment in position 27. If you get confused while searching for it, you can always refer to your owner’s manual for more detailed instructions and diagrams.
Here are some tips to help you check it out and replace it:
- Before you head into the power distribution box be sure to disconnect the negative battery cable (use a wrench).
- Open up the power distribution box.
- Find the fuel pump relay in position 27 and give it a firm tug to remove it.
- Look for physical signs of damage in the wiring or hold the relay against a 9-volt battery to see if it clicks.
- If it doesn’t, purchase a new fuel pump relay (they usually cost between $30 and $40) and replace the fuel pump relay as soon as you can.
- Remember to close the power distribution box up and reconnect the negative battery cable (using a wrench) once you’re done.
If you’re still not sure whether your fuel pump relay is damaged or not, you can also check for diagnostic trouble code P0230 with a code reader—this indicates that the fuel pump relay voltage is low. If you don’t have a code reader on hand, or you’re still unsure, take your F-150 to a trustworthy mechanic to safely diagnose the problem.
