I like to look into the diagnostic codes on any car I own before I take it to a mechanic, just so they don’t think I’m clueless. I have an OBD2 reader, but I cannot locate the port on one of our vehicles. Where is the 2006 Ford Explorer OBD port located?

OBD port, you’ll need to look between the brake pedal and brake release. Actually, you’ll have to look just above the little space between the brake pedal and the release pedal. It’s not easy to spot at a glance, but if you can get down low on your floorboards, you should be able to find the OBD port tucked behind the interior paneling.
