Where is the 2005 Chrysler 300 OBD port location?

In my Honda, the OBD scan port was on the passenger’s side, but I’m trying to use it in my Chrysler and can’t find the connection port. Where do I plug in an OBD scan tool in a 2005 Chrysler 300?

In a 2005
Chrysler 300
, you’ll find the OBD port located underneath the steering wheel and above the foot pedals in the driver’s footwell.
Unlike some vehicles—which hide away the OBD connection port in obscure locations—the connector is fairly visible in an ‘05 Chrysler 300. Its red plastic exterior makes it easy to locate.
If you’re still having some trouble finding exactly where the port is, here’s further guidance:
  • First, open your driver’s side door (but don’t get in the car!)
  • Locate your gas and brake pedals in the driver’s footwell
  • Look to the left of the brake pedal underneath the steering column. The OBD port should be visible here.
Once you’ve successfully located the port, all you have to do is plug in your OBD scan tool to connect to your Chrysler’s ECU and scan for trouble codes! Make sure to have your car’s ignition turned to the “ON” position (without actually starting the engine) in order for it to work! Your OBD tool should enable you to identify any

issues you might have.
