Where is the 2000 Nissan Quest fuel pump relay location?

I’m having some issues with my Quest and I think it may be the fuel pump. Where is the relay switch located so I can look into it further?

The 2000 Nissan Quest’s fuel pump relay is located under the vehicle’s hood on the driver’s side. Look in the rear engine area, on the passenger side master cylinder. You’ll find the switch mounted on a firewall.
The fuel pump relay is an electronic component that is found on virtually all vehicles equipped with an internal combustion engine. It is often in the fuse box within the engine bay and functions as the primary electronic switch that controls power to the fuel pump.
The fuel pump relay is usually controlled by the ignition or powertrain control module. When switched on, it will provide current to the fuel pump so that it may function. As the fuel pump relay controls power to the fuel pump, any faults with it can cause issues with the fuel pump, which can cause drivability problems for the vehicle.
A bad or failing fuel pump relay may cause:
  • Engine stalls
  • An engine that won’t start
  • A lack of noise from the fuel pump
