Where is the 1995 Ford F-250’s OBD port location?
I’m not an “expert” on cars, but I know how to take care of them, fix minor problems, etc. That includes using an OBD tool. But I just can’t figure out where to plug my scanner into this truck I’m working on! Where is the 1995 Ford F-250’s OBD port location?

OBD scanners can be a powerful tool for predicting your car’s maintenance—but they only work if you know where to plug them in! In a 1995
Ford F-250
, that would be underneath the hood. This is a pretty unusual placement, so don’t feel bad for not finding it! While most cars house their OBD port connectors inside the passenger compartment, this isn’t the case in certain 1990s models of the F-250. In your 1995 truck, specifically, you’ll want to pop the hood and search for the firewall. From there, the OBD port should be located close by.
Something to note is that many older vehicles—including the 1995 Ford F-250—are only compatible with first-generation OBD tools. In other words, you’ll need an OBD-I scanner (as opposed to an OBD-II) to crack your truck’s
trouble codes
