Where is a 2010 Chevy Equinox’s battery location?

My dashboard lights have been flickering, so I’m wondering if there's a problem with my car’s battery. I want to check on it, but I don’t know where to find it. Where is a 2010 Chevy Equinox’s battery location?

Good question! The 2010 Chevy Equinox’s battery location is under the hood, directly behind the driver’s side headlight.
To get a better look at your battery, you will need to slide off its black plastic cover and unclip the gray battery cover piece. After that, you will see another black plastic panel secured by a 10 mm bolt. Take a ratchet with a 10mm socket and remove the bolt, then slide off the cover.
We’d recommend grabbing a flashlight and looking along the battery terminals. Make sure that the cables are securely plugged in and that there are no visible signs of corrosion.
