Where is a 1998 Toyota Camry fuel pump relay located?
I think I need to replace my fuel pump relay. How do I access it? I’m not very familiar with the inner workings of my car.

The fuel pump relay for the 1998 Toyota Camry is located in the fuse box under your car’s hood, on the driver’s side. On the underside of the fuse box lid, you’ll see a fuse box map that will tell you which component is the fuel pump relay. You can also find this information in your owner’s manual.
When your fuel pump relay has gone bad, your engine will turn but won’t start because fuel is not being pumped into the engine. But these symptoms can signal several other issues:
- Poor compression
- Faulty crankshaft sensor
- Dirty fuel injectors
- Bad spark plugs
- Malfunctioning fuel pump
