Where does GM make its electric cars?

I know that General Motors was founded in Detroit, Michigan, but it seems like most car companies these days do most of their manufacturing overseas. Where does GM make its electric cars?

Great question! There are actually quite a few places where General Motors (GM) electric cars are produced, and a few new plants are in development as well.
GM is currently in the process of investing $35 billion in EV and AV product development spending, including converting the Factory ZERO (located in Detroit) and
Spring Hill, Tennessee
assembly plants to electric vehicle production.
Here are GM’s current available electric vehicles and their respective production facilities:
  • Hummer EV Pickup and Hummer EV SUV: Factory ZERO in Detroit-Hamtramck
  • Chevy Bolt EV and EUV: Orion Assembly plant in Orion Township, Michigan
  • Cadillac Lyriq: Spring Hill, Tennessee
