Where does Ford get their lithium?

I’m big into the green car revolution, and I really like what Ford has done to ramp up production. However, I’ve also read that production problems for EVs are rampant due to the difficulty of obtaining lithium for batteries. Where does Ford get its lithium for EV batteries?

While the microchip and semiconductor shortage is the main reason for stalling production, lithium is also difficult to come by in some regard. However, Ford has inked a long-term deal with lithium miner Ioneer Ltd. This Australian-based company mines all of its lithium for Ford vehicles at the Rhyolite Ridge mining project in Esmeralda County, Nevada.
With the demand for EVs soaring, Ford has also rumored that it may look for additional suppliers in the near future. However, it’s remaining tight-lipped as to what company it may work with.
