Where do you store your car while traveling by train?

I’ve never been on a train before, so I thought I’d take the Amtrak on a trip. But I wasn’t sure what to do with my car while I’m gone. How can I store my car when traveling by train?

Traveling by train in the U.S. certainly isn’t as popular as it used to be, but it’s a classic way to see the country.
To store your car while traveling by train, check to see if there’s a designated lot. Most Amtrak stations have parking lots for travelers’ use. Call the station or look online ahead of time to see what the parking situation is like before you commit.
Note that lots may charge a fee per hour or per day.
Alternatively, you could just take a taxi or Uber to the train station or ask a friend for a ride. Then, you could leave your vehicle at home. This is probably the most hassle-free option.
