Where did Jaguar cars originate?

I’m taking an automotive class at school this year and we have to do a report on the history of a car make of our choice. I’ve chosen to learn about Jaguar, but there’s a lot I don’t know. My question is, where did the Jaguar car come from?

Jaguars are total classics! Jaguar cars originated in Blackpool, United Kingdom. Jaguar began as the Swallow Sidecar Company in 1922.
Swallow Sidecar Company was founded by William Lyons and William Walmsley, who eventually renamed it SS Cars Limited. In 1935, they released a sports sedan called the SS Jaguar and a two-door, open-top sports car called the SS Jaguar 100.
Today, Jaguar is owned by Jaguar Land Rover, which is the product of the 2013 merger with the Land Rover vehicle brand. Jaguar Land Rover is headquartered in Whitley, Coventry, England.
