Where can I find the information on my prior accidents in my policy?
I am shopping for a new policy, and the carriers I am getting quotes from keep saying I had an at-fault accident last December. But I was not at fault for that accident. Where can I see this information?

“The first step would be to get in touch with the insurance carrier that you were with at the time of the accident. If all your claims have been with the same carrier, they can provide a claims history letter.
If you have had claims with more than one carrier, every insurance provider will have reported to the same database called CLUE (comprehensive loss underwriting exchange). To get a copy of the report directly, you can call LexisNexis Services at 1-866-312-8076.
If a carrier misreported the accident, this will impact all of your future
quotes. To fix this error, you can have LexisNexis contact the carrier on your behalf or you can contact your state’s insurance department and appeal the error on your record.”
