My wife and I are planning out the last leg of a road trip that will end in Key West. But the Florida Turnpike is very confusing and I’m having a hard time finding reliable information about it. Could you tell me where the rest stops are on the Florida Turnpike?

We hope you’ll enjoy your road trip! Finding the two ends of the Florida Turnpike is a bit confusing. But it’s arguably one of the nicest toll roads in the United States with exceptional upkeep.
There are eight rest stops on the Florida Turnpike, each featuring restrooms, food, gift shops, public phones, ATMs, dog walking areas, and EV charging stations. Here’s the full list of these rest areas, including their mile markers so you can anticipate where the next rest area will be.

- Pompano Beach (mile 65)
- West Palm Beach (mile 94)
- Port St. Lucie/ Fort Pierce (mile 144)
- Fort Drum (mile 184)
- Canoe Creek (mile 229)
- Turkey Lake (mile 263)
- Okahumpka (mile 299)
Before you head out on your road trip, you’ll want to visit a mechanic and have them look your car over, inspecting the tires, brakes, and lights. Also be sure to get fluids topped off and have an oil change done.
