Where are Ford transmissions made?

I know that many automakers build parts overseas to save money, but I wasn’t sure if Ford fell into that group. I’d like to buy an American-made car for my next purchase, I just want to make sure parts are made in the U.S. Where does Ford make its transmissions?

If you want an authentically American car, you’ll be happy to know that all Ford transmissions for the American market are made in the United States at one of two factories:
  • The Ford Livonia Transmission Plant in Livonia, Michigan
  • Sharonville Transmission in Sharonville, Ohio
The Sharonville plant began production in 2018, while the Livonia plant has been in service since 1952. Both employ over 2,000 workers, supplying Americans with jobs.
If you decide to buy a Ford, congrats! You’re getting a quality American-made vehicle. However, you shouldn’t let this excitement make you overlook your car insurance. To lower your
