Generally, car batteries can last between three and five years, depending on various factors. Since that would put an original battery for your car outside the top end of that range, you might want to replace your 2016

OEM battery sooner than later.

That’s especially true if you’ve noticed your motor is slow to respond at startup, or if the battery warning indicator light illuminates on your instrument cluster. Still, not every weak 2016 Mazda6 OEM battery will show warning signs before they fail, so it’s usually a good idea to have it inspected during other routine maintenance, like oil changes.
