When parking on hills, where should your front wheels be pointing?
I know there’s a rule about turning your front wheels in a specific direction when you park on a hill, but I can’t remember what it is. Where should your front wheel face when you’re parallel parked on a hill?

When
parking
on hills, your front wheels will face a different direction depending on which way the front of your car is pointing. If you park facing uphill, your front wheels should be turned away from the curb. If you park facing downhill, however, your front wheels should be turned towards the curb.Think of it this way: When you park on a hill, the force of gravity will act on your car. If your parking brake fails, you want your car to roll into the curb rather than into the street, further down the hill, etc. Make sure your wheels are angled so that if your car starts to roll, it will hit the curb instead of another person!
